Timothy J.D. Gregory, MD, MBA, CWSP

Dr. Timothy J.D. Gregory is a renowned authority in hyperbaric medicine and wound care, with a strong background in emergency medicine. With over 12 years of specialized experience in wound care and certification by the American Board of Wound Management as a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP), Dr. Gregory is a leader in the field. His expertise is further reinforced by board certification in Emergency Medicine, making him uniquely equipped to handle a wide range of complex wound care scenarios.

Dr. Gregory's educational journey began at Cornell University, where he earned a B.A. in Biological Sciences in January 1992. He obtained his M.D. in May 1996 from SUNY HSC Syracuse. His postgraduate training includes a transitional internship and an emergency medicine residency at Madigan Army Medical Center/University of Washington, where he served as Chief Resident from July 2001 to June 2002. To complement his medical expertise, Dr. Gregory pursued an MBA with a healthcare concentration from George Washington University, graduating in January 2008.

Dr. Gregory's specialization in hyperbaric medicine and wound care is supported by extensive training and certifications. He completed primary training in hyperbaric medicine in Columbia, SC, and advanced courses in wound care and hyperbaric medicine. Previously the Medical Director at Trident and Summerville Advanced Wound Care Center, Dr. Gregory founded Coastal Wound Care in Charleston in 2023. Prior to his years of experience as a Wound Care physician, Dr. Gregory was a emergency physician for ten years in both Army Medical Centers and private hospital systems.
