Coastal Wound Care is celebrating two important milestones in the Charleston, SC community. Today, September 3, 2026, marks the three-year anniversary of our first wound care clinic in West Ashley, while yesterday, September 2, marked the two-year anniversary of our North Charleston location.
These anniversaries represent three years of providing specialized, compassionate wound care to patients throughout Charleston, North Charleston, and the surrounding Lowcountry communities.
Celebrating 3 Years of Wound Care in West Ashley, Charleston
Three years ago, Coastal Wound Care opened its first clinic in West Ashley, Charleston, SC.
Our goal from the beginning was to give patients with chronic, complex, and non-healing wounds access to specialized wound care in a convenient outpatient setting. Since opening our doors, we have had the privilege of helping patients heal, regain mobility, prevent complications, and improve their quality of life.
Our West Ashley wound care clinic treats patients with a wide range of conditions, including:
- Diabetic foot ulcers and other diabetic wounds
- Venous and arterial ulcers
- Pressure ulcers and pressure injuries
- Non-healing surgical wounds
- Traumatic wounds
- Infected wounds
- Burns
- Radiation-related wounds
- Complex and chronic wounds
- Wounds at risk for serious complications or amputation
Every patient and every wound is different. Our team focuses on identifying factors that may be preventing healing and developing an individualized wound care plan based on each patient's needs.
North Charleston Coastal Wound Care Clinic
Celebrates 2 Years
Our story didn't stop in West Ashley.
As the need for accessible specialty wound care continued to grow, Coastal Wound Care expanded to North Charleston, SC.
September 2, 2026, marked the two-year anniversary of our North Charleston wound care clinic.
Opening a second location allowed us to make specialized wound treatment more convenient for patients in North Charleston and surrounding areas while continuing the personalized approach to care that has been part of Coastal Wound Care from the beginning.
Today, our two Charleston-area locations allow us to serve more patients who need evaluation and treatment for wounds that are difficult to heal.
Specialized Wound Care Close to Home
A wound that isn't healing should not be ignored. Chronic wounds can become more difficult to treat over time and may lead to infection and other serious complications.
At Coastal Wound Care, our team provides advanced wound evaluation and treatment for patients with both acute and chronic wounds. Depending on the patient's condition, treatment may include wound debridement, compression therapy, negative pressure wound therapy (wound VAC), advanced wound dressings, skin substitutes, and other wound-healing therapies.
Our focus extends beyond treating the wound itself. We work to understand the underlying factors affecting healing and develop a treatment plan designed around the individual patient.
